There are many scams in the world today. The last thing you ever want to be a victim of one. Many of these scams come from other countries. One of the most popular scams today is the Nigerian Scam. This is when a person from Nigeria tells you they want to come to your country but they want to forward over their money first and they need a bank account to initially get the money here. So they send you a check and tell you, you can cash it and that you can keep a good percentage from it as a sign of good faith. So you do and then you send the money back to Nigeria but the check bounces. Now you have been conned out of several thousands of dollars.
Things are no different in other countries in the world and that includes China. There are several export scams recently coming from there. Here are a couple of warning tips to alert you to the Chinese Export Scam. If some one from the country approaches you whether in an email or by letter, these are the things to look out for. If the company from China contacts you via the Internet. That is usually the first sign that it is a scam. The company will have the words Import and Export in their company name.
They want you to buy a very large order of goods they are selling. They will insist and aggressively insist that you send a representative to China to sign the paperwork so that you can see them in person. The have no references to provide you. They have been in business for less than a year and the most important part of the scam is that they want you to send money before going to China, they may say it is so they can plan a party in your honor or because it is a foreign exchange that money is required up front. If any of these conditions sound familiar they don’t even continue to converse with these people, immediately stop all contact with them.
